Fastway Couriers Northland wins Top Franchise
Franchising newcomers and Northland locals, Carl and Rhonda Compaan, have been named Fastway Couriers Regional Franchisee of the Year at the company's Annual Excellence Awards, held in Auckland 7-9 September 2012.
Upon receiving the coveted award, Carl says it was "quite a surprise" to win the award after joining Fastway Couriers in mid-2011.
"Over the last twelve months we've experienced good growth, especially amongst online retailers – but I never expected to win," says Carl.
Carl attributes his success to the excellent support offered by Fastway Couriers.
"I love the challenges, each day is different and Fastway has got all the support systems in place to make your business a success. If you're ever in need, Fastway's experienced Franchise Support team means there is always someone you can rely on," says Carl.
Carl and Rhonda are extensively involved in community projects, including:
- sponsoring local sporting clubs
- transporting wounded animals for the Native Bird Recovery project
- playing an active role in the Northland Chamber of Commerce
Fastway Couriers New Zealand Executive Officer, Jason Windhager, says the Regional Franchisee of theYear award recognises overall business excellence, assessing customer service, brand advocacy andoverall contribution to the community.
"Carl and Rhonda may be one of our newest franchisees, but they've displayed incredible enthusiasm anddrive since taking over the franchise, which has been reflected in healthy growth figures. It's remarkable what they've achieved in just over a year," says Windhager.
