About Franchise Association of New Zealand
Franchise Association of New Zealand

The Franchise Association of New Zealand is an official regulatory board for franchises in New Zealand. They facilitate the process of learning and sharing information, and encourage high standards of conduct through the Association’s Code of Practice Ethics, by which all its members must abide.

The Franchise Association of New Zealand Incorporated was founded to bring together members of the franchise community to share information and experiences, set standards and promote best practice in franchising. Membership is open to franchisors, franchisees, and master franchisees as well as professional advisors or individuals with an interest in franchising.

The Association represents those concerned with promoting high-quality franchising both in New Zealand and around the world. It is a member of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation and the World Franchise Council.

Membership to the Franchise Association of NZ Inc is available to:

  • Franchisors - includes Master Franchisees who issue franchises for sale
  • Franchisees
  • Affiliates (service providers i.e. lawyers, accountants, consultants)
  • Individuals - only for those who do not belong to a company
Benefits of Membership
Franchisors and Affiliates can gain much from membership to the Association. Apart from the significant marketing advantage of being able to use the Association’s logo as a sign of credibility, membership also opens up a whole range of opportunities to advance your knowledge and learn from the experience of others. This is a unique advantage not available to stand alone franchise systems.

Members of the Franchise Association are the franchise professionals, committed to uphold ‘Best Practice in Franchising’ and the Association works hard to promote the benefits of using members to those looking to both purchase a franchise and gain professional advice.

The benefits of membership include:
  • Credibility
  • Information
  • Representation
  • Government Liaison
  • Updated on Issues
  • Networking
  • Conferences & Seminars
  • Discounts
