Oporto opened its first store in North Bondi in 1986, stunning the locals' taste buds, with its unique flavor profile. It quickly gained a growing army of fans, establishing the first franchised store in 1995 in Australia.

Oporto New Zealand opened it’s first store in June 2001 at Queen Street, Auckland and was a instant hit with locals. New Zealand is Oporto first International market for franchising.

Since 2001 Oporto NZ has had measured growth with three franchisee stores. In 2007 a new Management took over the business and the growth since then has been four additional stores.

Oporto New Zealand current store totals to nine with eight in Auckland and one in Palmerston North. Oporto New Zealand has developed into a strong player within the quick service restaurant market over the past 2 years and this growth is set to continue. Oporto NZ serves over 600,000 customers per year and over 13 million customers per year, across three markets - Australia, NZ and UK. New stores are planned in the next two years in key locations in the North Island and South Island.

Training

A comprehensive seven week start up training program with a combination of In-Store training, Management training targeting the specific needs of your business and Food Safety program.
