2012 Swimart Awards announced
Australia's largest pool and spa specialist franchise, Swimart , announced the winners of its 2012 Swimart Awards, which was announced and held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Darwin last month.
Swimart Ambassador and Olympic gold medal swimmer, Susie O’Neill, presented the awards. Susie made a special appearance, just 24 hours before flying out to commentate at the London Olympic Games.
2012 also marked another milestone for Swimart as it celebrated it 25th anniversary of its franchise network.
Delegates started the week with a trade show and a series of educational workshops, followed by a full day conference with presentations on sales and marketing strategies for 2012/13 and the launch of new products.
The black-tie event saw Swimart Oxenford (QLD) win the prestigious 2012 Australasian Franchisee of the Year award. This is the pinnacle award that recognises outstanding excellence in service, performance and operation. Overall, Swimart Oxenford picked up five awards this year.
"This is an outstanding achievement for a store which started from scratch just three years ago," says Chris Fitzmaurice, Swimart’s Australasian manager.
"It’s also an excellent result for two young franchisees, and we are sure they will continue to achieve year on year."
According to Fitzmaurice examining the business as a whole was played an important role in selecting award winners.
"The stores must demonstrate they are exceeding expectations across the board. This includes product knowledge, sales growth, staff retention, adherence to our franchise system and meticulous customer service."
"We believe it is really important to recognise and reward our top performers. The adverse weather conditions over the past two summers has made for a challenging environment; however, with creativity, tenacity and determination, all our award winners have shown it is possible to be successful and maintain a strong business."
