Telco in a Box responds to market demand, launches mobile-in-a-box at telecommunications franchises

A new mobile-in-a-box product is now available to existing resellers and operators of Telco in a Box telecommunications franchises, offering a complete package for customers looking for a wholesale mobile only solution.

Previously, Telco in a Box telecommunications franchises only offered mobile solutions as part of a full suite of services, with resellers only able to access mobile data and voice directly through the two major carriers, Telecom New Zealand and Vodafone.

Telco in a Box New Zealand CEO Shannon Fisher notes that “the costs to buy direct from the carriers are often well beyond resellers reach, in excess of $250,000.”

Developed in response to high market demand for mobile services, the new package, Mr. Fisher says, enables the telecommunications franchises to spend substantially less to access mobile, giving them more time to concentrate on customer acquisition.

It also provides resellers with access to competitive rates, automated customer billing and account management support, Mr. Fisher adds.

“We saw an opportunity to break down the barriers to entry and let resellers be in a position to complement their businesses with much needed mobile so they can offer their customers the full spectrum of telecommunications services,” he says.

Mobile wholesaling has only been available to the New Zealand market for a short time. Earlier this year, Telco in a Box signed a three year deal with Telecom Wholesale to provide wholesale mobile voice and data services on the W-CDMA network.

The company is already in discussions with several organisations interested in adding on mobile, and anticipates that its telecommunications franchises will generate $30 million in revenue over the next three years.
