Mike Pero Mortgages Auckland Central mortgage broker wins at 2006 NZMBA Awards

Darren Lawson, mortgage broker at Mike Pero Mortgages , scooped the Auckland Central Broker of the Year Award at the 2006 annual New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association (NZMBA) awards held in Christchurch.

Darren Lawson says the award is the result of his determination to put the client first.

The NZMBA Broker Awards are among the most prestigious and sought after industry related awards.

Darren Lawson owns and operates a Mike Pero mortgage franchise in Auckland and explained, “I live by the motto of putting the client first. I ensure I establish a great relationship with my clients and offer them a first rate service. It is truly gratifying to be recognised for doing this. It is also really rewarding to know that I have made the process of getting Auckland people into a new home a satisfying experience.”

The judges said that the NZMBA award recognises the outstanding contribution that Darren Lawson has made to mortgage broking in the Auckland Central area, and the excellence in the way he has dealt with lenders and clients.

Lenders (banks and finance institutions) nominate the mortgage broker for NZMBA Broker Awards. The nominated broker then has to make a submission, including a business and processes plan and relevant figures. A 45-minute presentation and interview session is then held with a judging panel.

Jeff Staniland, Chief Executive at the mortgage broker franchise network explained that Darren’s win is a real coup for the whole team at Mike Pero Mortgages.

“It is a true reflection of the professionalism and care that all of our brokers possess to ensure our customers receive the best possible impartial mortgage advice.”

At the time of winning this award, Darren had operated the Auckland mortgage franchise for two and a half years and he says the award trophy already holds a proud place on his mantle.
