Westpac sponsored Dairy Industry Award winners announced
The Westpac Bank sponsored New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards (NZDIA) 2011 winners have been announced including regional awards for Sharemilker, Farm Manager and Dairy Trainee of the Year and National winners drawn from those categories.
Westpac Bank is committed to supporting farmers through their business life cycle and sponsors NZDIA to recognise excellence in dairy farming, one of the nation’s most important industries.
Westpac’s regional agribusiness staff assist the NZDIA by sitting on regional committees and participating in on-farm judging processes.
A Westpac staff member is one of three on-farm judges who assess each entrant's ability in key farming tasks including financial management, pasture management, livestock management, environmental sustainability and human resources.
Westpac Bank congratulates the winners of NZDIA.
The national winners are;
- Sharemilker/Equity Farmer of the Year – Jason and Lisa Suisted from Waikato
- Farm Manager of the Year Award – Jason Halford from Manawatu/Horowhenau/Rangitikei
- Dairy Trainee of the Year Winner – Ben Smith from Hawkes Bay/Wairarapa
